TASK 8: Gone Girl - Title Sequence

(I can't take screenshots at the moment so I had to just upload the full thing, sorry)

1) 20th Century Fox and Regency Present
These are the names of the companies presenting the film (who could've guessed).

2) A David Fincher Film
This is displaying who "made" the film, or was largely responsible for it, such as a director, which
David Fincher is in this case.

3)Ben Affleck
After a bit of narration and showing our leads (or at least one character and another's arm), the first lead actor is shown.

3) Rosamund Pike
The second lead actor.

4) Gone Girl
The title of the film, shown after the main actors, probably because the actors are big name stars and are used to 'advertise' the film in a way.

5) Neil Patrick Harris
The actors who appear shortly after the titles or after the leads are usually the secondary characters,  less important but still have some sort of importance to the story. NPH and the next couple actors are probably these kinds of characters.

6) Tyler Perry
Also probably a secondary character of some sort of importance to the story.

7) Carrie Coon
Probably a secondary character, yet again, or it could be just another character of fairly minor importance.

8) Kim Dickens & Patrick Fugit
Due to two names now appearing, we can probably assume that these actors play even lesser roles in the story. Major enough to appear in the opening credits (so still fairly important, probably), but less major than the names appearing before it.

9) David Clennon & Lisa Banes
Yet again, lesser characters, who still have some sort of importance to the story, but less than the 'single names' that appeared before them.

10) Casting by Laray Mayfield, CSA
He appears after the cast, probably due to him being (partially or mainly) responsible for them being in the film.

11) Sound design by Ken Flyce
It seems like the credits people care less about appear earlier during credits, and the names people care more about, like Producer and Director, appear later in the credits. I guess that's why casting (for reasons other than those already explained) and sound design as well as a couple credits later appear where they are.

12) Music by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross
In this case, I guess it was placed here due to its relations with 'Sound design'.

13) Costume Designer - Trish Summerville
Continuing the theme of 'less important goes first'.

14) Film Editor - Kirk Baxtor
I guess the more 'important' credits are appearing now.

15) Production Designer - Donald Graham Burt
Ditto.

16) Director of Photography - Jeff Cronenweth
Ditto.

17) Executive Producers - Lisile Dixon & Bruna Papandrea
The 'very important' guys seem to be appearing now.

18) Produced by Arnon Milchan & Reese Witherspoon
Ditto.

19) Produced by Cean Chaffin, PGA & Joshua Dinon
Ditto.

20) Based on the novel by Gilian Flynn
We've pretty much reached the 'threshold of importance' now. The people most responsible for the film are appearing last.

21) Screeplay by Gilian Glynn
Yet again, showing the person who wrote the screenplay for the film, which is a very important role.

22) Directed by David Fincher
Pretty much of the most important role in film making, and the person seen as mostly responsible for how the film turned out. The Director appears last.
